I am tentatively getting 4.2 dGH from a conversion calculator on the web.
My GH is around 5. That's about 0.84 percent difference.

That is the absolute minimum for sufficient calcium and magnesium. But before looking into possibly increasing those--I have GH of 4 to 5 or 6 in various tanks and this is adequate--I would resort to a good liquid fertilizer as I mentioned previously, as I think in this case that should resolve this. It takes 2-3 weeks after changing before the plants will show signs of positive response. And it will be with new growth, not existing leaves. The existing leaves will not "get better" in any way. But if new growth appears and looks healthy, then the problem is likely solved.
