I have been having so much trouble with my plants. I finally thought that I was doing well.
My tank is 36 gallons. I have an onion plant, java fern, amazon sword, anubius, and a few others. I put fertilizer in my tank every week. I even bough ecocomplete and planted my plants into that. I have 4 18W daylight bulbs over the tank. My plants have never strived, but they did ok. Occasionally some will turn brown and fall off but they seemed to be doing well. All of my water parameters or normal and I keep my light on for at least 8 hours a day.
Last week I did a my usual 50% water change but then planted 10 root tabs throughout the tank. Now today my amazon sword has turned yellow, brown and clear and some of the leaves have fallen off. The tips of my onion plant are turning yellow and are falling off. Even my anubius is turning yellow and I can see it melting on the bottom. What is going on?? I feel like I have done so much to help the plants grow but I just cant keep them in good shape. I don't see how the root tabs would make the plants do this. I seriously want to just give up because I have been working on this for so long and spent so much money, time and effort into this. And I really don't want to go back to ugly plastic plants. So please help? Suggestions? Thanks!
