Plants for a 29 gallon tank

Today I bought an amazon sword plant and a bundle of cabomba. First question: should I unbundle the cabomba or let it grow together? I also have a pack of both of the bulbs you can get at wal-mart (the lilies and the other things), what are some other plants I should get?

What kind of lighting fixture do you have? Do you know the water parameters? What kind of substrate are you using? Different plants have different requirements, so it's best to pick plants that will work best in your situation.

I'm not sure on parameters: haven't tested my tank yet. My substrate is Eco-Complete Planted Terrarium Substrate, and my light is the one that came with the 29 gallon kit.

Definatly go with low light plants. If it's the average flourescent strip light that comes with most kits, it's probably not that much light. Here's a link that gives some good low light plants...

This is the same site, just the plant index. I've really found this sight helpful for choosing my own plants. Not all of the plants listed here are low light, you'll have to check them out individually. It gives reviews on each plant by people who have grown (or attempted to grow) them, which is helpful.

Ok thanks. I'm going to get a new bulb soon anyway. What would be the best (normal) fluorescent bulb I could get?

I say normal, as in, none of the T5 VHO stuff or whatever please, I'm pretty broke

heres more low light plants:

http://www.plantgeek.net/plantguide_...=1&filter_by=2

for a bulb, check Walmart,Home Depot ,etc and look for a 6500k-6700k Daylight bulb
or you can do the CFL mod to the hood you have and use any of the 6500k Daylight compacts in it,cheap easy way to get alot of light over a tank
