Planting the Elodea Canadensis?

Hi! My 100 gal tank has a HUGE overgrowth of Elodea plants. (I'm talking like 2 1/2 to 3 feet long stalks. I usually just trim the plants and throw them away, but is it possible to trim to stalks and plant them in another aquarium?

I would be planting them in my 20 gallon guppy tank filled about 1 1/2 inches high with gravel.

Absolutely- Elodea is a stem plant so it's very easy to propagate. Just take those cuttings and stick them in the gravel where you want them to grow.
