hey guys. well, its been maybe a month since Ive had plants in my tank and they've grown fast. i havent trimmed them in about 2 weeks, but before i do tomorrow, i want to give my tank a theme, or at least make it look nice. I see tanks on youtube and on the forum that look really nice, but mine just looks like an overgrown mess. ill post a pic so you guys can see. It's kinda hard to see, but i do have a piece of driftwood with moss on it in the middle. give me some advice. i have a 29 gal. with serpae tetras and going to get some guppies tomorrow.

We're sharing a lot of the same plants there.

YOU asked so I'll tell ya what I'd do :)
Trim the Rotala to about 1-2" under the surface (and yea I know it will be back up next week)
Take all Crypto's and plant them all in 1 corner (spaced apart but closer together as a "group")
Then move the DW fwd left say into the left front corner and angled backwards a lil (diagonal)

Also what often helps the overall look of plants & fish is adding a background. Specially with the light sand, I'd suggest some dark blue or black. If you have a piece of construction paper around the house, hold it behind the tank, you'll see what I mean, makes the plants stand out more :)
