What kind of plants do you have??? We can better recommend a fertilizer after hearing what kind of plants you have. I'm not positive, but I would steer clear of any "garden store" products, they are probably laced with all sorts of harmful toxins which could hurt and possible kill your fish. let us know the kinds of plants you have, also the size tank and lighting schedule would help....

and by potted do you mean you bought a potted plant and it's imbedded in your gravel?? or is the plant still in the pot in the tank?

Definitely do NOT use plant food available to garden or house plants!

Dep on your water source the plants may get enough nutrition this way as it is, which you'd recognize by thriving plants.

Then as said by Johnny it dep what plants you have.... There's Stem plants which are the most common and they feed off of the water column, so you'd need a liquid fertilizer such as Flourish Comprehensive (being best IMO). Then there's root feeding plants being Swords and Crypts these feed via their root system like house plants do, for these you'd wanna add root tablets such as available by API.

Last but not least you said they're all potted plants, which is how they come from the store, however the pots and the lil foam stuff around the roots has got to be taken off the plants roots before you plant them in to your tank to avoid root rot, so make sure about that too.
