From a review of the literature approximately one year ago IMHO I would be careful with the dosing quantity of phosphates or phosphorous as concentrations of phosphorous greater than that which can be consumed by the plants may produce significant green algae as well as hair algae (and possibly other types of algae) growth [this growth would much more than that caused by excess available nitrogen].
