Nymphaea rubra Red Lotus
i boght several bulbs/tubers for this plant a while back for my planted tanks i didnt expect much as it seemed to me a delicate plant.......
5 weeks down the line they have taken over to the point in which ive had to move several into new homes on digging them up i found that the plants are only connected to there bulb by a single shoot and all the roots and leaves are on the end of this shoot there are about 3 shoots to a bulb the plants growing off the bulb have massive root systems but there are no roots growing from the bulb itself...
so my qestion is thus, can i "disconnect" these plants from there parent bulb without harm and will the plants then form its own bulb?
