New plants, tied together

Hello all, just purchased some new plants, Anubias nana and Green Myrio and green cabombas. Some of them are attached at the bottom and I completely forgot to ask the lfs if I should keep them tied at the bottom before I plant them or cut the ties off. Some have like a rubberband and others have some sort of ties.

Some people keep them tied together but others like to separate them and plant separately. I guess it all depends on the look your going for.

I don't recommend leaving the weights on but for sure, IHMO, remove the rubber band because it is going to be too tight and will eventually cause the lower plant to rot off. I have never had good things happen when I left either on. I have always seperated mine to give them room to get adequate light and waterflow between them. This also helps them to establish a root system for each plant instead of the roots all competing for the same nutrients in a confined area.

Some people may have some luck leaving them, I never have.
