The only advice I have, is get rid of the symmetry. Personally, I'd do something like keeping all the rocks but 1 close together 1/3 of the way from the left side, with the larger rocks in the back, the swords just in front of them, and the smaller rocks arund it.

1/3 over from the right side with the grass-like plant, place the extra tiny rocks, and the other plant nearby.

If you get driftwood, I would place the big rock off-center, pile driftwood around it and in the middleground (still keep a focal point 1/3 over from one side), vallisneria along the back, with the oriental as a focal point in front of the wood, and the other rocks placed randomly (smallest closer to the front, though)

I'll move this to the plant section for you. ;)

I would add as many bunched of anacharis you can afford.

Also kill any filters/air stones to let things settle out.

If after a couple of days it is still cloudy then kill the lights and stop feeding until it clears.

just what works for me

and worth at most

I agree on the species and comments. But ironically, this plant does sometimes last in an aquarium, up to a year or more. And it is rather distinctive. I would leave it (Alex), just watch it and if it starts dying and falling apart, pull it out.

pet smart and petco both sell non aquatic plants in their plant tanks ;) you can't trust those chain stores, LOL! I do recommend getting a water wisteria. they're cheap, grow fast and make beautiful plants in a tank with plenty of open space :)

just one in the middle will make the tank look fantastic over time!

a little advice on the rocks, pile them all next to the plant you want to be the central focus of the tank. this will bring all the separate elements into one focal point which will have a lot more impact :)

I doubt it. And when you seemost fish picking at plants, they are most likely grazing the biofilm on the leaves for food.
