Nice work on the tank; when those substrate plants settle in and grow, that is going to be one lovely jungle. Good work.

And what a cute hampster.

Something we all need to remember: The fish you've acquired was quite happy not being owned by you, minding its own business. If youíre going to take it under your wing then youíre responsible for it. Every aspect of its life is under your control, from water quality and temperature to swimming space. [Nathan Hill in PFK]

What a cute name for a cute hamster! Your tank is lovely. I'm looking forward to seeing it as it grows. You did a fantastic job. I know your fish are very happy to be living in that tank!

absolutly beautiful, just like an underwater garden.
and Bean is a 10 on the cuteness scale.

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

Thank you for thw wonderful comments and Bean is blushing away in his cage after reading the comments about himself Lol !!

I cant wait until it grows, I had recently bought a magazine on Freshwater planted tanks and they were the ones taken from the 2009 Competition .. I got my inspiration from that lol, But maintaining the tank itself is hard work, checking the C02 level, Ferts, Netting out dead leaves .. But every night after work, sitting back and just admiring the fishes in their natural habitat is well worth it !!

Thank you everyone !!

nice tank. Co2 is anoying lol, its nice that you have it because your plants will grow so much faster. just FYI you could clean the glass more for clearer pictures and turning off flash also helps.

Subject: Larry LaPrise dead at 93

With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person, which almost went unnoticed last week.

Larry LaPrise, the man that wrote "The Hokey Pokey" died peacefully at the age of 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin. They put his left leg in. And then the trouble started.

Lol, I noticed the water marks on the glass after those pics had been taken lol lol , it's wiped down now, My camera is shoddy for some reason with flash off the camera wont just focus !!

I guess in the near future my money will have to be spent on a new camera instead of Fish, Fish and Plants lol !!
