Need more plants

Now that I have a better idea on what I think I want to go with and need, I need more plants! Sweet Aquatics is out of most of what I need, I quess until the 29th and I don't want to have to wait that long. I have looked around but most places have horrible shipping charges. I found a place in Oregon but when I searched for reviews I only found one review and it was bad. Another problem I have is I will find a place that I trust but then they do not have all of the types I am looking for. Any suggestions? Thanks!

P.S. Now that I look at Sweet Aquatics again, the "29th" was for January. Does anyone know when they are going to restock? I know Eric is waiting for a reponse from them on something. I can try to email them, but I was hoping I could order today.

Holly,
Which plants are you wanting? We out of stocked many plants due to a high number of open orders. We may have what you are wanting. We should be getting our next shipment on the 19th.

Hi! Thank you so much for responding. I want the Anubia Congensis which I know you still have in. I just bought one from you and I love it! I also need more of the Ludwigia Natans (Ludwigia Repens) pot, and possibly the Rotala Indica (Rotala Rotundifolia), and maybe some more Pennywort (you may still have this one in the pot, which is good....how big?)

Do you carry Moneywort...not sure what the scientific name is? There may be some others that I will order as well.

Also, on the Congensis, I know that they are supposed to grow faster if they are allowed to be partically out of the water, but do well all the way in the water as well. I assume that the one I got may have been somewhat outside the water. It has the white splash water stains on the tallest leaves. How do I get that off? I do understand why this is, but is there a way I can get it off? I tried to rub it gently but it does not come off easy. The younger shorter leaves do not have it on them. It really is a beautiful and healthly looking plant. You grow them well!

Thanks, and I look forward to you response. :) I am glad that you are on here!

Holly,
I am out of the Ludwigia Natans. We are out of this plant because our supplier had severe cold weather and many plants were damaged. Typically I have 50+ bunches available (it is our best seller).
I have Rotala Indica and some pennywort.
Moneywort is Bacopa Monnieri we only have this in pots.
The anubias congensisi comes to us emersed. The white stains is hard water .
I used a blue stratch pad the kind that is safe on glass. the spots came right off. But be careful I gently rubbed the leaf, you don't want to damage the leaf. I think a toothbrush would even work.

I will be updating the webstie tonight with the plants we have left.

Thanks so much. I will look on your site again later this evening! BTW....good looking dog. I love the big dogs just like big horse. He is like a "draft" dog. ;-)

Hi, I did order it my last batch and and you are right, I like it. I just did not really get enough. I put some in my daughter's tank. I may order more. :) Gee, plants are going to get like fragrance oil samples. I am going to want this and that, but the only thing is, there is only so much room! I am going to have to give my husband some time before I start talking about another tank. My next plan is a big one in the office/parlor. I am going to have to sell lots of candles to afford this. The bad thing is, I am losing a little bit of my motivation in the candle biz. Way too much work for one person and for the amount of profit and not sure if I can take it to the next level.

That's why I want it. I have a few plants on my list with a reddish hue. I like the look of green with a touch of red. How many did you order? I only have one down because Angel told me it grows super fast and I can replant some of the larger grows rather quickly. Can't wait!

I like the green with a touch of red too! I ordered two which comes in stem batches. They either did not have the pot one in stock at the time or I decided on the stem ones because they were cheaper. I am pretty sure it was because the pot ones were out of stock. I ended up putting some of the stems in my daughter's tank. I needed more live plants in there. My 56 gallon is so tall that everything live except for the Anubia Congensis look shrimpy in there. I am not real patient....for waiting for growth. Even the ones that are supposed to grow fast. LOL

If you wanted dwarf onion plants I took the last 2 pots. I ordered 3 but it said to change quantity or they were out. They weren't out so I changed it to 2 and it took it. So I got the last 2 dwarf onions. Sorry :) I think Kelso got all the Anubius that ya'll wanted lol. I wanted some too. Or was it the L. Natans? I forget

I think they still have several anubias. I have decided that I don't want any kind of grass in the background....Vallis, onion or any of the tall grass. I am going to try the micro in the front. I think I may have liked the Onion one better than the Vallis. The Vallis just seems too paper thin or something...just not the right look for my tank. Boy, after we all get done ordering (this will be my second order if they have enough of what I need), they will be wiped out! Natalie has been a good word of mouth for their biz! I should use her for my candle business. I will send her some candles and get her hooked and then she can let everyone else know. ;-)

I changed my mind on the Anubias. I was going to attach it to driftwood, but I am ordering a tree stump ornament instead and not attaching anything to it. Although I also thought of getting some and just holding it down with a few rocks. Can you see that I am not quite ready to place my order yet? ;-)

This just reminded me that I forgot to respond to you again on your plant thread. Sorry. I meant to respond and say that the tree stump looks great. I am having a problem with the thought of attaching them and wish it was not the best thing for them. I like the way it looks in pictures I have seen but it has to be the right shaped driftwood and as a whole has to look good with the plant design in the tank. I don't think mine will look good on the one big DW that I have....not at this point anyway. I have read that they can be put into gravel as long as the top part (can't remember what it is call) of the root is not burried. I need to lift mine up a bit. I think they may grow slower in the gravel but it did say that they will take hold real well. I may just get some small flat pieces. Right now mine are in the gravel. They are goodlooking plants and have nice firm leaves that look "crisp". Not sure if that is the right adjective.
