Hey Clarky.

Congrats on the new tank.

I'm relatively new to keeping plants as well, but have learn't a few things along the way that may help.

It depends on how much ur budget is, but if your like me and haven't got much funding, these are some good cheap solutions.

Recently i bought some Tetra Plant Complete Substrate.

I would recommend puttin an inch layer on the bottom of your tank before any other kinda of substrate. Gives ur plants a boost.

I also got Tetra Plant CO2 Optimat. Again another cheap alternative, but an effective way of gettin CO2 to your plants quickly.
It's obviously not as effective as a CO2 dispenser with tank, however is 1/10th the price.

Hope this helps.
