My new pennywort lost all its leaves...is it going to grow still?

I recently got pennywort through the mail and the leaves looked to be so delicate and clear. When I put them in my aquarium the leaves fell off one by one. Is this stress from a trip? Will my floating stems regenerate leaves? If so, would it matter if I left them float or should I plants them to speed up the process?

Thanks in advance for your help!

In my experience with this plant, left floating is more likely to see it recover. It is closer to the light, assimilates CO2 from the air and nutrients from the water. Your description sounds like stress from the shipping. I have had some pretty bad looking stems of this plant recover, so here's hoping.

Byron.

I agree, sometimes by pennywort grows so quickly, and sometimes the leaves "rot", this has only happened once or twice, but cutting them back, they've grown in quite nicely again
