No. When I planted it, last August, it was just a plantlet. After that i never took it out of the water. :D

It's not so much that your filtration became less efficient, it became more redundant. Moving the water is harder with so many plants but it may depend on the fish if it is even needed that much.

My fish are guppies so, they really don't need much flow. But there are some parts in the tank that won't get enough flow, so most mulms are collected there and most often i would see algae there.
