A general comment on this issue. Not all plants will grow well in all aquaria. Over theyears I have tried various plants, some grew fine, a few didn't; I forgot those that didn't and stuck with those that do. Sometimes it is a different requirement in light, nutrients, water parameters. Sometimes specific plant species inhibit certain other plant species, this is called allelopathy. It is not always best to fiddle with this or that for one plant if the others are growing well, you can upset the existing balance and cause other problems and may not solve the first anyway.
