Lisa I had the specs for comparision previsously posted in the discussion thread that lead to this report, here ya go (Info only for GE Florescent EcoLux Bulbs!!!) Name: GE Sunshine VS. GE Daylight
Size: 48" T8 / 48" T8
Energy Used: 32 watts / 32 watts
Light Output: 2800 lumens / 2700 lumens
Color Temp: 5000 Kelvin / 6700 Kelvin
CRI: 86 / 78
2x20w as you have bought it will be just fine. Pers whenever I deal with 2 bulbs I mix 1xdaylight 1xsunlight. In the 55g it just so happened when I started this "experiment" I took the 1 daylight out and left the sunlight in. As far as I know from what you told me our 55g's are the same sizes (4ft long x 20" tall x 13" wide)!?
@LMychajluk IMO thats very blue end/ bright light there for the fish & plants with the 18,000k and very little lumens for the plants.
What substrate do you have with that high light for the Cory's?
Also as Lisa said Cory's don't do well in new set ups so check your parameters there
And you can "hijack" and ask all you like here
that's what we all are here for.
