Looking to order plants. Anyone ever hear of Extraplant

Hi
Looking to order some plants to improve my discus tank. And looking on line is so confusing. I liked the presentation and selection of Extraplants. But can't find out where they are from or find any comments in any forums discussing them.

Here's the link Extraplant Aquarium Plants: Home

Their shipping is reasonable they use UPS 3 day. Is that safe for plants?

Any information or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Lolita

I've never heard of them so can't comment. I used to order from Sweet Aquatics and their quality is ok but you usually will have to wait a few weeks to get your plants.

My last two plant orders were with Mikeswetpets (based in NY), he's on e-bay and aquabid.com. Great prices, great quality and quick shipping. You can send him an e-mail with the plants you'd like and he'll give you a price on a custom package.

Good luck.

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

Thanks! I ordered a bunch of anubias and echinodorus from this place. They have some unusual varieties.
They have their nursery in Fl. Mike looks interesting if he has what you want he is definitely on the cheap side.

Sweet Aquatics is ok... but took a while for me to get my order.

Planted Aquarium Central was super fast and the plants looked better than expected.

These two are the only ones that I've had experience with, and with only placing one order from each place.

Only place I get plants from are members of the forums. Cheaper and much better quality than you'll find at stores or online vendors in most cases.

Sweet Aquatics is not shipping until Spring and last time I did order from them it took 3 weeks for them to ship my plants. I second mikeswetpets his plants are awesome and the service is great and the prices are good as well.

Kindest Regards,
Amanda

Plant places

I've gotten plants from Fosters and Smith (good results but expensive) and Arizona Gardens. Very unsatisfactory from there. I ordered 6 portions of both java and Christmas Tree moss. I received a handful of gross brown mess that was once java moss. No Christmas moss at all. I wrote them about it and did NOT receive a response.
