list of plants

Hey again everyone, can i get some suggestions here?
I have a 10 gallon tank with the dimensions 20' wide, 12.2' height, 10.3' deep. I intend to put in 1 betta, and 5 zebra otos...
I want to plant the tank medium-heavily, but im having trouble deciding which plants to put in that the fish will be alright with.

Any suggestions to what plants I should put in would be great and much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I have java fern, anubias nana and cryptocorne wendtii in my 10 gallon. These are easy, low light plants that will fit nicely.

150 Gallon - Mostly American Cichlids
135 Gallon - Angelfish Community
75 Gallon - Odd couple (Polleni/Angelfish)
55 Gallon - African tank
20 Gallon Long - QT
10 Gallon - Empty

feeding plants?

So I see many people say on this forum, ''You must feed plants''. What exactly is meant by this statement?

Dosing ferts, co2 injection, good lighting, are all ways to "feed" a plant.

would plants be fine without Co2 injection in a 10 gallon with about 6-10 smallish plants?

Yeah just go for DIY co2, I have a 5 and 10 gallon that I run on High (5g) and medium(10g) lighting with just co2 injection and my plants are all growing like weeds.

You may want to research the plants that you have just to be safe. One thing you will have to keep in mind is if you have carbon in your filter it will take all the nutrients for the plants out of the tank. If you are running a bubbler, turn it off at night, the air bubbles take the co2 out of the water.

Swords, anacharis/elodea, java fern, mosses, Vals, Aponogetons and many other plants don't need Co2 injection. If you are not ready to dedicate a lot of time to make sure DIY CO2 is running just right it is more hastle than it is help. Fluctuating levels will cause worse algae than not having it at all.

I grew easy to grow plants like the ones listed without CO2 injection and they literally took over the tank. Jst watch for deficiencies and give the pnats what they need.
