My LFS (a chain petstore, not the fish store I sell my fry to, and buy my fish at) usually has somewhere between zilch and nadda for plants. IF they get plants in, they get very little, and they usually look like they were just plucked from someones boot in a war zone.

so I stop in tonight to get some filter pads for my 110g HOBs, and a bottle of nutrafin plant gro (they finally got it in, and within a week sold all but one bottle... and didnt order more yet..) and I always scope the fish just to see what they have.

GASP!! anubias! nice looking! on nice looking driftwood! score. double GASP! Ceratopteris thalictroides! score! And so on. I have no idea why they actually had decent stuff, but I wound up walking out with some hornwart, water sprite, anubias nana on driftwood, and an unidentified anubias. And they all look relatively healthy!

reminds me why I stop in there for bits and pieces now and again If i can sneak past the wife, i might stop tomorrow for some jungle vals, and maybe some wisteria, both of which looked equally awesome.

Dedicated, converted, lowes / home depot bulb buyer!
