Lanky Crypts!!

I bought 4 pots of Cryptocoryne Wendtii - Green, about a month ago and I can't get them to stay near the gravel, and bushy. How do I achieve this? I have a few in my 12 gallon, with 15w - 1.21wpg and a few drops of flourish comprehensive occasionally, and I have the rest in a 17litre, with 26watts - 7.2wpg,with a few drops of FC rarely. After trimming all the lanky leaves, the plants in my 17litre are growing short stems, but with long leaves and are starting to crinkle and bronze, but as for the other tank, its still the same story. Is it because I have very low lighting in the 12gallon, or do I just need to keep trimming them down?

This is how I would like them to grow. Is it possible?

Thanks :)

Wenditti green does not grow compact. It always has long narrow leaves. You need wenditti brown or a similar variety which is like the plant you linked. I'm not sure exactly what variety that one is, but normal wendtii green does not get that ruffled of leaves. There are a number of other varieties that are more compact with wide ruffled leaves. I have Wenditti bronze which is also called "tropica".

.... I'm probably drunk.

This is how I lurk

They are wendtii green, well atleast thats what the label said and I know you can't always count on that lol some came with Crypt difformis, or something like that but their all growing the same under high light. I have noticed that the new leaves are coming through more red than green, which are pretty. I think I'm going to have to get a better light for my 12 gallon in order for the crypts to grow as well, as they do in the betta tank lol

Thank you for your help :)
