Now, having said that, if you have livebearers or rift lake cichlids or similar fish requiring harder water, then a higher KH would help with maintaining a higher pH, but the higher GH would be part of this on its own.
Well if you don't fuss with it, why should it worry me? btw, the Water Sprite and the Wisteria are doing a little better and I expect nitrates to reflect that fairly soon.
