Leave out the carbon. What canister filter has a bio wheel? I'd forget about the bio wheel too. They make surface agitation which gases off co2.

No carbon ion planted tank. Keep the carbon pad you have there in case you need to medicate the tank one day you then can add it to help remove the meds; otherwise no need for it!

the biowheel goes inside the cansiter...there won't be any surface disruption once the plants are in...

here's the bio-wheel in the canister....they say it's optional...

I'm just trying to think of everything for your problem. While I'm not familiar with your pump it's a pump. And pump theory I am really familiar with. Fire truck pump operation but still, a pump. Just bigger.

Do you have your intake and output right next to each other as they show in that pdf manual? If so try separating them some. Output flow could disrupt input flow. It definitely is not primed all the way. There's a disruption somewhere. Think Harri think...

This may sound dim to you guys...but you're sure all hoses are connected properly and it doesn't draw on air from ANYWHERE?

I just did a quick google search...i'm going to take a look at the rubber gaskets on the lid....some else had the same problem, I'm going to turn it off and check the lid for leaks and then see how it goes tonight again.....

The output is about 6" higher than the input piece in the tank...

"think, johnny, think" I'm checking the gaskets now to see if that helps....it'll take about 1/2 before i notice if the water level falls......

I really was hoping to get this figured out before friday....i really really dont' wanna run my biowheels with new plants for another week....ugh...

I'll keep you posted....thanks, y'all are the best!!!

Was it me; i'd take the whole thing out, dissemble sit down ooohhhmmmmm style on the floor and start over with a lot of patience and focus something ain't put together right.....how's the lid built- Make sure it its having the o-rings on it that they're properly in place and not squished the wrong way somewhere's in there (been there & done that with the Ehim yrs ago).

You'll get there Johnny - YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

I THINK I GOT IT!!!!!!!!!

i took it all apart @ the quick dis-connects....by the way are a god-sent awesome thing haha

I resealed the o-ring and made sure everything was jammed together.....turned it back on, primed it and water is gushing through the input hose as well as the output....i think it's gonna be alright, I"m going to check the water level before going to bed.....

thanks for all your help

***sorry for a quick panic*** haha

I am so excited for my plants to get here, although I did check my account @ SA today and it was still processing....hmm...thought they would shipped by now....maybe not!
