I am so jealous. Looks great! Can you please tell me how you take care of this stuff? Also how do you keep the pad sunk. I am having major plant floating issues even after I tied them down with a rock tied to them and for my fine foreground I hairnetted and propped them in place with chop sticks and they still work their way up. This is getting very frustrating. Also what parameters do I need.. always mixed info.

Thanks,
Danielle

Hmm...let me see how I can help you....floating issues yeah?.....may I ask what is the exact plant you are growing? because generraly moss sinks. The only plant I can think off that grows like moss but float is "riccia". If riccia is what you plant, then they have the tendency to float, even if you tie them with a net

Borneo,

I have Dwarf baby Tears, giant hair grass, and i bought a square foot of microsword that is now floating on the top of the water. I have tried netting but I can't even keep the netting down. i used thread to tie rocks to the giant hair grass and they still float.

Ahh...I thought you were having trouble tying moss or moss alike plants.

Those plant you mention are rooting plants. You need substrate to plant them. Substrate of at least an inch thick, less then that, it's quite difficult to do planting, coz not enough to hold them. Possible but better stick to 1 inch and above :D

Substrate can be fine gravels, sand, or aquasoil.

Using a tweezer, grab it at the roots, and plant it into the substrate. Well that will be how you plant the plants you listed :D ~Cheers

Well those are the plants I am having a hard time keeping down but I am going to make a moss wall for another tank since java moss wont work well in a high light tank. I recently purchased a plastic mesh specifically for tying down moss to make a wall or a pad. Are you using the stainless steel pad or plastic?
