Well that would look neat but can't honestly say if the Java moss at the base of the fern will hurt the fern or not.

I am looking at one of my tanks right now and it would appear that the java moss is becoming unruly being about 7+ inches tall now and the java fern is just towering out from it so I would say it works out in its own way. You can always trim back the moss when it gets massive.

I bet it is going to be pretty rainforest or jungle like if it is anything like my mine. Let me know if you need some moss as I have extra right here.

well go figure... My moss should be here today and my shelf isnt finished yet. Whats the best way to keep it alive without floating it in my tank ? Can I put it into a bowl or something for a few days ?
