Java Fern Growth

People have told me over and over again what to do with the new growth on my java fern leaves but I can't find a good video or a step by step process on how to do it. I don't want to hurt my plants so please help with either a video link or a step by step guide on how to do it. Ill upload a picture of one of the ferns to show the new leave growth.

The leaves naturally detach themselves when the time is right but if you are confident they are a good size they do pull off and then you can place them somewhere else. Just watch because if they are too small you will tear the eaves of your mother plant
