First we need to ensure we are talking the same plant. I suspect you mean Hygrophila angustifolia. Photo below. Common name, willow hygro. Occurs in Australia. Some sources have this as a variant of H. corymbosa. I haven't researched it far enough to say.

Sources also vary on light, some say bright, but most medium.

Yes in fact grows very well under low lights.
If you would like to check out a bunch of pic's of that very plant here in my tank http://www.tropicalfishkeeping.com/aquarium-classifieds/fs-cheap-plants-great-package-deal-48375/
If you'd like I can gladly send you all H. Augustfolia as one package for cheap (unless of cause you care for some of the other plants too).

But I will have to tell you it does need trimming every so often or WILL grow out of the tank :)
I appreciate the offer. It's only $1.65 from Sweet Aquatics so I just added a 1 bunch to my order.I haven't had much luck with stem plants but I thought I would give them a try again and if it doesn't work out it won't be a big loss.
