concerning the co2 id say try and find a connection maybe a scientist that has some or someone in an industry that uses it. i almost found a contact for myself the other day (my girlfriends dad) but he said he used it for a past experiment.

You can get refills for free in some places in the UK, especially fire safety places.

welding suppliers and pub/bar suppliers are another source for CO2

Holy crap! Will definitely look into that..

I'm going to start brewing beers and wines soon too, which give off C02 at a ferocious rate. The plan is to pump the C02 off into the tank.

My LFS uses the bar next door for CO2. When the distributir comes to refill the bar's tanks, the store gets theirs filled too.
