I've tried multiple times to use fishing line but I cannot get the fishing line to coorperate at all and I just get agree and give up. I almost want to just forget about the tree, but i, trying to sortof mimic that tsnk someone made (found pics online) thst looks like a hobbit house. Ive got the hobbit house almost complete, I'm still working on grass... but I think the moss tree would really complete the look.
Also, about the lawn.. I'm working with a very small, 6" high tank.. currently, I'm trying to grow a dwarf hairgrass lawn... I'm getting a few runniners, but more algae than anything. I'm going to move thr tank somewhere with less sunlight but I think I need to try a shorter plant for the lawn to really make it look proportional. I tried microsword and hated it... not sure what else to try. I don't want to use CO2 but I can easily get moderate or high light on the tank because it is so small.
The moss will have attached itself to the drift wood long before the thread disintegrates. Give thread a try. You really only need to wrap it around the roots a few times and then put the end under the drift wood or a rock.
