Help with brown, thin and dying leaves on plants

I'm new to the freshwater planted scene and my plants (bananas mostly) seem to have thin leaves that quickly turn brownish and then fade/wither away. It has 64W of light on a 24 gallon tank. I run the lights for 12 hours and dose daily with Florish. I also do water changes of 5-10 gallons weekly. I have one SAE and one pleco for algae control.

Any ideas on what I can do to make things healthier? A CO2 system is on the dream list but I was hoping to put that off for a bit.

Thanks in advance for your help!

How old is the tank and/or how long have you had the plants?

dude, great name, I grew up in Colorado too.

I bought the tank from a fish shop and they had it setup with a couple plants in it for about 6 months. I bought it, added a bag of substrate (ADA) and then added a bunch more plants about 3 weeks later (that was January). I've had a few plants that have died off but mostly they just look weak and spindly.

how long have you had the plants? new plants introduced to the aquarium tend to lose a couple of leaves as they strive to adapt to the new environment. Give it time and it should grow new leaves again and settle in. I love the banana plants. The first time i got mine, it was about 4 inches tall and lost nearly all its leaves when i first put it in my 10 gallon tank with 25 watts. Now, with ferts and and c02 injection, it has about 7 leaves that are about 12 inches tall, and has now just made a new leaf thats about 3 feet long and has reached the top of the tank and broke right toward the right side of the tank and turned agin to reach the back of the tank ( i have no clue where its trying to go lol) and is making a new roundish leaf that a nice red color. i will take a pic tonight

The plants in question have been in the tank since January. I'll give it time I suppose.
