Well after researching the apongeton bulbs i bought i found one not to be the ones named, but rather a Aponogeton distachyos, a nasty bulb with little roots and every leaf on the surface of the water. time to rip it out and plant a different bulb to see if the rest arent the same, or if it was just a mixup.

they were on sale at pestmart, and no you wouldnt. there orignally for ponds and dont have any leafs underwater, all of the leaves cover the surface and its not what you would expect from an aponogeton.
