green fuzz

got some green fuzz on the plant what is wrong?

50 g tank
50g sump (soon to be converted to tank)
5 angels
2 diamond tetras
2 ?? tertas
2 flooresent 4"
DIY Co2 (yeast)
DIY Co2 reactor to come

What's your lighting schedule on the tank and do you dose with any ferts?

If you don't stand up for something you'll fall for anything...

150 w halogen 4 4"neon's power glow 3 of them are old
and I dose with flourish, just started

Wonder if I understand you correctly; you have a 50 gallon tank, the light over it is one 150 watt metal halide plus 4 Power-Glo fluorescent tubes? Do you have CO2?

If this is correct, my opinion is that you have way too much light, with or without CO2. But, having said that, just what is the extent of the green fuzz (which we assume is algae)? Can you post a photo?

Hey the tank will be a planted tank the fuzz just started and I just cleaned and got rid of most of the fuzz I will unplug the MH when I get the other 2 flooresents going. this was an old salt water setup with large sump
