Good ground cover

What is a nice ground cover plant that will grow somewhat fast? When I do this how should I go about vacuming?

Clover, Hemianthus Callitrichoides, Baby tears, Fissidens Fontanus or other mosses, some compact crypts, echinodorus Tennelus. I am sure there are more but can't think of them right now.

As for gravel vacs, you hover over the gorund cover and suck up as much as you can of the debris and waste. The rest breaks down for the plant.

Also realize that in order to keep a plant compact and growing close to the bottom you need some pretty good lighting. In low lighting they will grow up to the light if they survive at all.
