Flourish Excel and Duckweed

Anyone know if Flourish Excel kills duckweed?
Mine has died and I don't know what else it could be.

When i overdosed it in one of my small tanks it wiped out all my duckweed, but my other tank gets excel regularly and the duckweed is doing fine. Not sure if that helps.

Actually, Byron had a good hypothesis regarding the water nutrient level (I used some ammo-carb to lower the tank ammonia in an emergency situation) and I think I removed the water column nutrients. The strange thing is, a small amount was alive after I removed the chemicals form my canister filter but died even though I resumed dosing Flourish Comprehensive.

I don't overdose excel, I'm maintaining Val and it doesn't like overdosing! I don;t even dose the replacement water at the specified level, just 6ml/day
