Flouresents in small tanks

I have a 10 gallon that I recently was able to find two 10 watt flouresent bulbs to replace the two 15 watt screw in tube bulbs that came with the hood. Since these are equvalant to two 50 watt incandescants, it seems like a lot of light for such a small tank. I have anubius, java ferns and corkscrew val in the tank. Arethe flouresents OK or should I switch back to incandescants, maybe 25 watts each?
