Talking Floating plant shock!!

I cannot believe how quickly the amazon frogbit that arrived on saturday has grown and spread already! The root systems are growing at an amazing speed, more leaves are appearing literally by the hour! Also getting minute offspring appearing all over the place. The fish are loving them as are the CRS thres almost 1 on the roots of each plant

oops my apologies!! 1st picture is just 1 of the plants, there was 15 in total and they were roughly a quarter of this size.

2nd pic is of the roots, they were literally tiny on saturday.

3rd picture which is hard to make out but is of 2 of the mini plants that have appeared.

Unfortunately i couldnt get one of the shrimp, i kinda disturbed them and they headed for the wisteria there normal hiding place for lights out. Even my CRS a well rtrained for bedtime. The only inhabtan hat doesnt sart to settle is the plec, its the only time i see it

I've had duckweed in my tanks before and that stuff explodes if you don't have a fish eating it, I havent started dosing ferts yet but I'll be doing half doses of flourish to start it off. Glads ours is growing so well with the minimal gives me hope that my water lettuce will thrive too

That would make sense. Haven't you heard? We make yogurt, not sense.

Where did you buy it from?

I got some frogbit a few weeks ago mail order from the green machine in wales. Mine are doing great too! although, the roots are so long that they twist and get caught around my taller plants. there are tonnes of runners shooting off and new plants are growing. I also have dwarf water lettuce too, but its a bit of a pain. might start phasing out the lettuce as the frog bit grows.

Peace always..

why would you get in trouble?

I got my water lettuce off of ebay, but found the green machine and knew they quality would be amazing. you should check them out if you haven't already. Bit pricey but have a huge range.. Would love to visit that shop, but its about 4 hours from me!

Peace always..
