Enough Light For a Moss Wall

Im trying my luck at a moss wall, i placed the moss inside 2 pieces of plastic craft net and attached it to the back of my 5.5 gallon tank. The light i have for the tank is for a 2.5 gallon tank and is only a 8 watt All glass tube. Will that be enough lighting for the moss to grow ? Also does anyone know how long it will take roughly before i start seeing progress ?

Ok after 5 weeks i have seen little progress. Is this normal for a moss wall ? I know they take a while but surely the strands should be all over the grid by now.

For faster growth, take it off the back and float it. Closer to the light, the moss will grow faster. Every week or so, take it out and flip it over. That will increase growth too.

Moss takes a while to settle, just give it time. Also helps to cut the moss into small pieces.
