really ive always heard they liked plants (but then again i havent had much experience XD ), ive always had problems with my bristlenose plecos, i do feed them well, and they have no reason to go to the plants, but they love eating them (ive gone through two sword plants and they were ripped to shreds)

it seemed thy get very territorial too. the big plecos killed the small one =(. too many battle scars, poor dude. well i am going to try some flourish liquid plant fertilizer. and see if that works. if not im going to buy some small loaches that wont harm my guppies, so they can make a meal of the snails.

hopefully the flourish makes the plants all good. and hope nothing more makes a meal of my plants. hmm platties suspect? i put a piece of lettuce in there to get the snails out....patties ate i before snails got to it lmao..

I heard some people say that flourish excel kills snails pretty well, and it can only help your plants. May be worth a try.

I would use Pfertz liquid fertilizers, you get a more precise dosage. That, plant tabs and Flourish Excel, for controlling algae. The complete package. Flourish is overrated, IMO.
