Thanks for the input guys, jack you say something about the root system being under devolped : well recently one of my fish dug a giant crator next to the plant and almost uprooted it exposing ALOT of roots that went atleast 6-7 inches from the crown, dont know if this contridictis what your saing or not though. Byron you mention about the tubes i have, i do have them both but the sword doesnt come into contact with anything but the powerglow due to the fact i have two fixtures that house 1 18inch bulb right now and the sword is under the powerglow side. the gh and kh both take 12-14 drops to get the color to change. Lost my chart on how to determine how many drops is what and its the API liquid tests. o and BTW the plant that had all the things circled on it was the baby plant attached to the flowering stem. some leaves are stating to twist aswell but are still green.

just so im clear on what was reccomended what to do.

1. Shorter light period
2. maybe more ferts?

I would go with more ferts, you can get a liquid that contains a decent amount of PO4 in the US so i suggest you buy potassium nitrate and potassium phosphate powders.

how big is the tank?

This is what I would do:

Buy 1KG of potassium nitrate and 250 grams of potassium phosphate
I would dose 3 grams of KNO3 (potassium nitrate) and 1 gram of potassium phosphate on alternate days.
Then on a sunday, don't dose and perform a 50% WC and then commence dosing on monday.
