EimajElocin, hold on. Let's find out what you have now and see if it will work. Tell us what kind of set up you have- length of bulb, watts*, number of bulbs, K rating (e.g. 6500K)*, and how old the bulbs are. Also, tell us the depth of your tank and water parameters (pH, temp, and hardness). From there, we can let you know what will work with what you already have, or what to upgrade.
One thing is for sure- I definitely recommend getting a timer for your lights. A simple one can cost $3 at whatever superstore (e.g. Walmart extension cord section), or around $10 for a digital one (which is the kind I have, because I have different set times for different days of the week), or even a power strip/surge protector that has a built-in timer function on each outlet (pet store). Its just personal preference. But a timer is pretty much a 'must' for plants!
So let us know, and we can help from there!
