Dwarf Sagittaria Mondo Grass?

A friend of mine just bought some Mondo Grass from PetSmart, I remember hearing that it's not actually aquatic and will die within 7 months or so.. That a good replacement for it is Dwarf Sagittaria, but looking at pictures they look like the exact same plant and in the description of this link it says that they will need to be replaced from time to time.. So does that mean it's actually the same thing and that it will indeed die after awhile of being inside the tank?

Aquatic Plants for Freshwater Aquariums: Dwarf Sagittaria

Anyone know of a good substitute for grass like that?

I'm sorry no one answered you post! Dwarf sag is absolutely aquatic and I don't understand why it would need replacing. Mondo grass isn't aquatic, however. You can use pretty much any substrate for that but a finer, heavier substrate would be best. IE - small gravel or sand.

That is emerse growth of dwarf sag. I think what it mean by replanting, is since it grows so fast. It may get in and in the way of other plants, so you would have replant it. Im guessing. Dwarf sag LOVES dirt, grows insanely with it. But what i have it with now is flourite topped with black sand, runners are everywhere.
