Dwarf Red Lillies/Tiger Lotus

Hi everyone. I am new to the forum too. I got in here to get information on dwarf red lillies. I have a running aquarium and just put in dwarf red lillies. I would be immensely grateful to hear the experiences and lessons learnt from other members with respect to this plant.

Warmly,
Devang

Welcome to TFK, for tiger lotus plants, they need a lot of light. Beyond that, they're fairly easy plants to keep.

The dwarf lilies need a lot of light if you want them to flower. If you just want the underwater foliage, then trim any leaves that try to reach the surface.

They also like nutrients in the root zone, so they appreciate root tabs.

We have fish and plant profiles, under the second tab from the left in the blue bar across the top of the page. The Tiger Lotus is included, with info on needs and care. You can also click on the name when it is shaded in posts, as it is here.

Something we all need to remember: The fish you've acquired was quite happy not being owned by you, minding its own business. If youíre going to take it under your wing then youíre responsible for it. Every aspect of its life is under your control, from water quality and temperature to swimming space. [Nathan Hill in PFK]
