Well trimming the leaves actually kills the leaves, but can sometimes stimulate growth.. (like how houseplants seem to grow a bit faster after you prune them.)

Try it, but don't cut all of them just in case. It might need a bit more light... Do you dose with a liquid fertiliser?

I cut some of it and I was wondering what the runners look like. I also have a rock about 1 inch apart from one side and would this cause any harm to runners?
