Question Does my bogwood have Ich??

Hi everyone!

My bogwood - which has been in the tank for several months now, has recently developed white spots - about the size of a pin-head. These are spreading rapidly and starting to look unsightly.

Does anyone have any idea what this is and how to treat it?

Thumbs up Snail eggs it seems

Hey everyone,

I think I found the culprit - Nerite snail eggs. I'm at least hoping that's the case because having spent months on getting moss to develop on the wood, I'd hate to ruin it all. Apparently the eggs resemble white sesame seeds - which they do, having had a much closer look.
What d'ya think? Am I right or totally off track? Anyway, thought I'd post my latest discovery - in case anyone else is in the same boat.

Your correct in your thinking......They look like the eggs my nerites lay everywhere in my one 90 gallon tank.............They will fade to clear eventually and then you wont see them anymore.........They wont hurt a thing in your tank.........No need to worry!

Thanks for the reassurance. When you say I won't see them any more (not that I mind seing them now I know what they are) - does that mean the snails will eventually stop laying eggs altogether?
