1 bottle of DIY yeast injected into a canister filter on a 60gallon will have minimal effect. Run a air stone at night and it will have close to no effect. You will not have full diffusion using the filter and 1 liter bottle isn't enough for a 60 gallon.

I agree about avoid excel unless it is actually NEEDED. That stuff like to randomly kill specific plants and stock and seems to stress fish more then anything.

.... I'm probably drunk.

This is how I lurk

thanks again for your info. Im slowly learning that my "experts" at the local box stores know more about selling than about product.

I like your concept of simple and least intrusive fishkeeping.
Full name is Flourish Comprehensive Supplement for the Planted Aquarium made by Seachem. I do recommend this highly.

The aquarist is one who must learn the ways of the biologist, the chemist, and the veterinarian. [unknown source]

Something we all need to remember: The fish you've acquired was quite happy not being owned by you, minding its own business. If you’re going to take it under your wing then you’re responsible for it. Every aspect of its life is under your control, from water quality and temperature to swimming space. [Nathan Hill in PFK]
