I like everyone elses ideas, but I took the simple approach. I floated mine in a bucket for a while (at least 2 or 3 weeks) and could never get it to sink or become water logged. I went ahead and put it in my tank and just propped a large rock up next to it. I used a very large piece of wood and everytime I wanted to move it, it still floated even after months. So if you don't want to wait forever on a large piece to sink, I recommend just using something to weigh it down or hold it down with a rock. Oh yeah, a big piece of wood looks good standing up in the corner with a large rock propped up against it, making a great hideout for large cichlids(or any other sketchy fish)!!!
