Hi have you checked around your area for local fish clubs?? Even maybe online if not close to where you live. The members are usually great folks who can help with tons of info. Glad you got it to stay down one way or another.lol
Stay well Mick

I have a great LFS around me, unfortunately it is occupied with not so great employees and a retarded manager. Anywayz, everything in there is psychotically expensive. I'd rather not go back there anyway, but i finally got my driftwood to sink.

Local Fish clubs???

I haven't heard anything like that before... Pretty sure we don't have them here in Auz. But yeah thats why I joined Fishforum.com because there are no sane people in australia that know about fish, that are readily available for me to talk to.

yep some of those LFS, all they wanted to do is sell you their products, they would do anything from feeding you with wrong info just to let you buy their stuffs. Good job kritas in researching before anything else.

Kritas, oz has got a pretty extensive aquarium culture, you should be able to find a decent aquarium society nearby. Although I have noticed most of them seem to be in Queensland, which I suppose is logical what with them having all those awesome reefs and tropical crap. I know there's the Aquarium Society of New South Wales, although I don't know where they're based, I'm guessing Sydney. (I know my thingy says Boston, but my BF is from Melbourne and we're moving down there once he's done with work up here) I digress but...so ridiculously excited about that btw...his father's an abalone diver in Apollo Bay, think of the gathering I can do with someone like that around!
