swords have crowns with roots.anubias have rhizomes.

They were grown out of water (common practice when growing/selling amazon swords) so they're just adjusting to growing under water.

Same thing happened to me :)

As the old leaves die (the ones that have a long thin stem, and then a small leaf on the end), new leaves will come in that are long. If that makes any sense :S It will take awhile, but if you just leave them in the substrate and trim old leaves as they die you should be fine :)
