Your plants may have used up the minerals so it may be a good idea to get some ferts.:)

Nah. I inject them to my tank. Not really a big deal unless your plants really demand CO2 to grow fast. Yours are fine so no need to get CO2. Lights do not remove them. They allow photosynthesis for plants.:) Plants use up CO2 during the day but use oxygen at night.
i didnt also understand also what you meant by carbon dioxide to boot, do the plants build it up in the aquarium and the lights then remove it?
