And of course always feel free to ask here if you see a plant you like but are unsure if its an easy one. ; )
Edit: Just wanted to add I also agree plants do very well in just small gravel and sand can sometime compact making it hard for the roots of plants to grow so I would not recommend mixing the two.
Here is some pics of plants I bought at Petco, that were in the tube. Please take a look and tell me what you think. I got three and the tube said they were wisteria, argentine sword, and borneo sword.
